'Greetings my darlings! I have a super fun video for all my fellow vintage enthusiasts out there! If you love vintage style, and have been searching for the perfect lipstick to give you that authentic vintage feeling, I\'ve finally tested a long standing, vintage recreation makeup line that has quite the cult following! (I\'m way late to this party, and I know it..) This video was initially inspired watching Ryan Murphy\'s Netflix exclusive project, Hollywood! Hollywood is a visually stunning, entertaining mini-series that I 100% binge watched, in one sitting.. If you haven\'t watched it, I suggest it to everyone who loves that glamorous post WWII Hollywood era, and also those who wish things had been different on the equality front at that time (vintage style, not values yo..) I was so delighted by the hair, costuming, and makeup in this show, but I was particularly struck by the lipstick. I loved how vibrant the lip color looked on camera, and I could tell it was a traditional style lipstick, not a liquid. I simply had to find out what product they used. It didn\'t take me long to discover the lipstick brand that makeup artist and one of the producers of the show, Eryn Kreuger Mekash, opted to use to give each of Hollywoods main characters a signature look. Turns out they each had been assigned a signature lip color from the highly praised vintage inspired makeup brand, Bésame Cosmetics! I was able to find out the colors used for 4 of the stunning characters from the Hollywood series on Bésame\'s blog, and I went a head and purchased a few of the authentic replica lipsticks used on the show. Honestly... I. am. SHOOK. I have tried some of Bésame\'s other products (I snatched up some loose brightening powders on sale last year), but I really held out on purchasing the lipsticks because I\'m such a thrifty son of a bitch who had been dedicated to one particular red lipstick for literally over a decade.... but these lipsticks are worth EVERY PENNY! The component is gorgeous, and every detail down to the box it comes in is carefully thought out. Even if the visual of the tube it self wasn\'t stunning, the formula of the lipstick is MAGIC! I have fallen head first in love with these lipsticks, and I plan to build my collection up (I\'ve already ordered more LOL). I\'m also stoked it\'s a woman owned company! Also, I forgot to mention in the video, but the lipstick has this perfectly subtle VANILLA smell that is wonderful and comforting!
