Shannon Collins, RDH: Some of the things that make the team here, our hygiene team, at The Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry different than hygienists that work in other offices is that we have had specific training for work around cosmetic dentistry. That specific training includes courses from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dentistry, and these are not things you learn in hygiene school. They're courses that you need to take as you learn and grow as a hygienist. These things are about cosmetic dentistry, but they are also specific to periodontal work as well and the advances in treating periodontal disease.
