I read this at lunch and go through it at night. Paula Begoun the author wanted to inform all of us on products we over pay for, how some can actually be doing damage instead of good like companies sometime claim. All thoughts in this video are my own and I am not bashing any brands at all I am just using all the information that I have been given by this book on making better and smarter choices when going to cosmetic counters, shopping online or getting stopped at the mall by those kiosk sales people claiming their products are the best and natural which is fine. I hope that you guys can either go out and purchase this book which was $19.95 US for the paperback copy which I have and showed in this video. But check your local library to see if they have it and you can check it out to see if this is something you would like to purchase. I decided that this book is way to AWESOME to keep to myself that is why I did this video and I will continue to do segments on different brands in the book for all of you lovely beauties. This segment was on CHANEL products. I read the Chanel section and checked the reviews on the items that I actually own from Chanel. AVERAGE $$$-PerfectionLumiere Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Makeup SPF 10 $55(I was disappointed on the SPF that it contains being the minimum for such a high end /expensive brand) AVERAGE $$$-Hydramax + Active Creme, Active Moisture Cream $72 / 1.7 fl oz( I was to find out that the most important ingredient is missing and that the fragrance which is not important was listed first) GOOD $$$-Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss, Pure Shine Intense Colour Long Wear Lip $32 (Happy that this got a good review. BEST $$$-Chanel Eyeshadow Brushes.(Love the 5 brushes I have from Chanel. They are expensive though) Here are some of the brands in the book.
