'Eden Gebre Egziabher is the owner and operator of Makina Cafe, New York’s only Ethiopian and Eritrean food truck. These days, due to the Coronavirus, Eden’s profits have dwindled and her job description has changed drastically. Her trucks are off the street, but Eden is determined to keep her business alive. In this Coronavirus update of Street Food Icons, Eden takes us with her as she cooks and delivers food to frontline healthcare workers in Queens, which is one of many ways she has pivoted her business since New York became the epicenter of the global pandemic.
