'HAND MIXER ADVICE - I took a chance and purchased a unit I believe was made in China. I think some KitchenAid models are made in the U.S. It doesn\'t have to be jet powered. Here\'s the buying points that matter to me: 1. Decent value, not too expensive but not a complete piece of trash. 2. The lowest speed has to be slow enough that it\'s not throwing stuff all over the place. 3. MOST IMPORTANT... The beaters are ACTUAL stainless steel and not shrouded in any kind of plastic or no-scrape cover. Horror stories of plastic and chrome plated steel fragments ending up in food can be dangerous. The beaters should not rust if truly stainless steel. Companies that don\'t have stainless steel beaters should be put out of business and sued. So far so good for my unit here. I inspect them before and after use. I used this on a jar of stir almond butter too with 1 beater attached and it worked well. Potatoes used were Yellow potatoes. I added a little salt, butter, pepper, and some oat milk.'
