MAC cosmetics and its parent company Estee Lauder has a pale story when it comes to people of color. While fans of Selena could not wait to get their hands on the new makeup collection from MAC Cosmetics named after the iconic Latin singer Selena Quintanilla-including lipsticks and bronzers with names of their most popular songs, some questioned the racist history of Estee Lauder, the parent corporation that owns the manufacturer makeup. MAC\'s website was flooded with buyers Saturday drawing praise to collaborate and serving Latina women. Mexican-American singer was shot dead at the age of 23, by the president of her fan club, Yolanda Saldivar, at a motel in Texas on March 31, 1995. In recent years, MAC and other cosmetics companies have been trying to get into the Latino market in the US as well as in Latin America.
